Bawa, the EFCC chairman, collapses inside Aso Rock.

Abdulrasheed Bawa, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), collapsed during an address at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday.

 

Bawa was offering a goodwill message at the National Identity Day ceremony when he abruptly stopped speaking, according to the Daily Trust.

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Pantami, and other senior officials at the event afterwards guided the EFCC chairman to his seat.

 

Bawa was eventually taken to the hospital and rushed out.

 

Bawa was talking about a man who was caught in Ibadan, Oyo State, with 116 SIM cards before the incident.
