Barcelona sent a congratulatory message to LaLiga rivals Real Madrid after they overcame Borussia Dortmund in Saturday’s UEFA Champions League.

The heroes for Carlo Ancelotti’s men were Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Junior, who scored twice in the second half to secure a hard fought win.

Carvajal broke the deadlock on 74 minutes off a corner kick from Toni Kroos before Vinicius added the second goal with less than 10 minutes left.

After the game, Barcelona took to their X handle to congratulate Madrid.

“Congratulations to Real Madrid for winning the Champions League title.” the Catalan club wrote.

The last time Barcelona was crowned European champions was in 2015 when they defeated Juventus 3-1.

Since then, it’s been nine years that they emerged European champions.
