On Friday, ahead of the match against Atletico Madrid on Sunday, Koeman held a fiery press conference, accusing the club of showing him disrespect by leaking information regarding his future.
On Saturday, though, Laporta tried to put any questions about Koeman’s future to rest, saying, “Ronald Koeman will continue as Barca coach, we believe he deserves a certain degree of confidence for many reasons.” He’s a Barca supporter and a point of reference for the fans.
