As per FIFA regulations, clubs receive compensation when a player sustains an injury while on national team duty, resulting in more than 28 days of absence. Compensation for Barcelona would commence on December 16, with a daily rate of €20,548, reaching a potential sum of around €3,082,200 for a six-month absence and €4,315,080 for an eight-month absence.
