Before moving to England from Nigeria, Sola Sobowale revealed that she had been residing in Enugu while filming the movie “Christ in Me.” When she began receiving more movie roles in Enugu as a result of her work on that film, she made the decision to make Enugu her base. As of the year 2000, Sola claimed she might work one week at a single filming location and make N800,000. She claimed she was hopping between filming locations and earning a lot of money, but she abandoned it all to work in England for £7.50 an hour.

She said whenever she is on the train or bus she usually make sure that she wears her uniform with the name of the company she is working for written on it and when Nigerians see her they would be like this can’t be Sola Sobowale, she said she would tell them that she is actually the one and they would ask her what she is doing in London, she said she would also ask them in return what they are also doing there. Sola Sobowale said she made a lot of friends in England and she is glad and happy but all that is history now.
