According to reports, Arsenal has been closely monitoring the development of Athletic Club winger Nico Williams, who has emerged as one of La Liga’s standout wide players in recent seasons. The 21-year-old, younger brother of Athletic mainstay Inaki, has attracted attention from various clubs.
Despite Aston Villa’s interest last summer, a deal couldn’t be reached, and Arsenal ultimately secured the services of Moussa Diaby from Bayer Leverkusen. Williams has showcased his talent this season, contributing five goals and ten assists in 24 appearances across all competitions. Notably, he played a key role in Athletic’s recent 4-2 victory over Barcelona in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.
The Mirror’s report also mentions Arsenal’s interest in Brentford striker Ivan Toney and Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi. Additionally, a summer clearout could involve the potential sale of Thomas Partey, Eddie Nketiah, and Emile Smith Rowe.
