According to reports, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has stormed Eagle Square, the location of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APCongoing )’s Special Convention and Presidential Primary, assuming key positions in the process.
Their presence at the convention could be linked to accusations of accused delegates being bribed to vote in presidential primaries, particularly in hard currency.

When they came at the presidential gathering of the biggest opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, the anti-graft agency drew a lot of flak (PDP). The EFCC’s conduct was interpreted by some Nigerians as an attempt to shame the opposition.
Despite the fact that no arrests were made, the EFCC officials remained silent.
On Tuesday, however, the staff, dressed in red jackets, were visible inside the Eagle Square, keeping an eye on the festivities.
There have been suspicions that politicians, particularly presidential hopefuls, are participating in dollar raining on the various delegates at the various parties’ presidential conventions.
Meanwhile, security guards at the Eagle Square location of the APC Special Convention in Abuja have reportedly denied journalists accreditation for coverage of the event.
Dozens of journalists gathered at the gate were barred by security agents claiming to be acting on orders from above, with teargas canisters thrown at the journalists by these security agents who remained firm in their refusal to let the journalists in.
