Toyin Abraham, a Nollywood actress, has finally spoken out about why she didn’t make the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards nominee list.

This was stated by the actress in response to a fan’s question on why she was overlooked by the Academy.

The fan wrote : “Ma pls I’m saying respectfully and I’m sorry for saying this @toyin_abraham I don’t seems to get why you are not getting any nominations for the amicable award we all need an explanation as a fan pls”.

Toyin Abraham, unexpectedly, responded by correcting the record.

She claimed that she did not submit her film The Ghost and the Tout Too to the Academy, which resulted in its disqualification.

Toyin Abraham took the time to explain that only films that were submitted to the academy were eligible for nominations.

She reminded the admirer that she had won an award the previous year, and that was sufficient for her.

Toyin Abraham also asked fans to concentrate on this year’s nominees.

Toyin Abraham further urged the fan to focus on this year’s nominees and to give them their utmost support.

Toyin Abraham wrote, “Film submitted are nominated and if you don’t submit they won’t nominate you. I hope that answers your questions and last year I got nominated and win donuts not all the time so let’s focus on this year’s nominee cos they all deserves it. Much love”.
