Queen Damilola, one of the wives of Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Alaafin of Oyo, has been refused access to the palace despite her public apology to the monarch and the entire royal family for her earlier wrongdoing.
After reportedly breaking a royal regulation, Queen Damilola was detained in a dungeon, prompting her to divorce her husband and flee the palace to Lagos in April 2021.
Damilola became homeless a few days after leaving the place, until some concerned Nigerians decided to donate money to help her find a suitable place to live and restart her life.

However, in a video published by Instagram blogger Gistlovers on May 31, 2021, a guy said that the king routinely delivers meal allowances to queen Dami after she leaves the palace.
The man also said that the Alaafin rented an apartment to Dami’s mother.
The queen’s ex-wife, on the other hand, rejected the story, claiming that she paid for her mother’s rent and her son’s school tuition with money donated by well-meaning Nigerians.
The blogger asked Dami if she would return to the palace after the monarch’s assertions in a discussion.
She replied that she would not return to bondage because the monarch was merely attempting to exploit her.
Queen Damilola, on the other hand, apologized to the monarch in an Instagram post on Sunday, October 31st, 2021, and rejected reports that Oba Adeyemi was neglecting her.
Queen Dami claims that dissatisfaction and certain friends prompted her to leave the palace, adding that some things are not as clear to her as they should be, and she apologizes for dragging the royal family through the dirt.
Queen Damilola begged the royal monarch to forgive her and accept her back into the palace, stating that she would refund the money people contributed to during her difficult times.
Amidst the public apology, an Instagram blogger Gistlovers has alleged that the monarch denied his estranged wife, Dami, access to the palace.
The blogger also said that queen Dami is staying with a friend and why she has not been able to share photos of her in the palace.
