“The Oracle still sees a CLEAN SHEET for the Eagles and a 1-0 victory,” Ajagunna posted on Facebook at 2:37 pm on Friday, hours before the 6:00 pm Nigerian time kickoff. “It may be 2-0 depending on the referee and VAR because we will put the ball in the net TWICE but VAR may have a say on one.”

On January 30, Ajagunna had predicted in a Facebook post that two teams from Group A would reach the finals. Nigeria and hosts Ivory Coast, both from Group A, have qualified for the semifinals.

Ivory Coast is set to face DR Congo on February 7, while Nigeria will play against South Africa on the same day, albeit in an earlier fixture.

South Africa, another team Ajagunna predicted to reach the last four, secured a place in the semifinal by defeating Cape Verde on penalties.

Despite his accurate predictions, Ajagunna emphasized that he is not a seer or prophet but someone who studies issues carefully. He cautioned against sports betting and clarified that his predictions should not be construed as an endorsement for gambling.

“Gambling is a very destructive vice that I personally understand its power of destruction,” Ajagunna wrote. “The JOKES I make telling people to go bet their savings are nothing but JOKES.”
