Cheetahs of Benin Republic head coach, Gernot Rohr, has acknowledged that it will be challenging for his team to defeat the Super Eagles again.

Rohr’s side pulled off a 2-1 victory over Nigeria in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in June. However, the Cheetahs will need another win when they face the Super Eagles at the Felix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan to enhance their chances of securing a spot in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The German coach, who previously managed the Super Eagles, admitted that repeating their June success would be no easy task. “Repeating the feat of June is going to be complicated, because Nigeria is now at full strength. But we believe in it,” he told Foot Africa.
