Maduka Okoye has vowed to fight hard to reclaim the Super Eagles’ number one goalkeeping spot.
Okoye was the first-choice goalkeeper for Nigeria during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon but lost his place after a costly mistake in the Round of 16 match against Tunisia.

“Yes, of course, that’s what I want, but Stanley (Nwabali) set a high bar with a great AFCON. So, I’m patiently waiting, working hard in training, and trying to impress the coaching staff as much as possible,” Okoye told Football Temple.
