Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has stated that his team will approach their upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Libya as if they are “World Cup” finals.
The Super Eagles will host the Mediterranean Knights at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, October 11, before facing them again in Benina four days later.
“We’re playing Libya back-to-back, and we’ll maintain the same approach as in previous matches. However, it’s one game at a time, so the third game against Libya is a World Cup final,” Eguavoen told Brila FM.

He added, “No game will be easy, but we will do everything possible to bring joy to the faces of Nigerians.”
The Super Eagles currently lead Group D with four points from two matches.
