Former All Progressives Congress National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu claimed he recently made the decision to retire from active politics in the nation after realizing he had begun to develop allergies to political activity.
The revelation was made by Adamu on Saturday in Lafia during the introduction and book launch of Abdullahi Tanimu’s book, “Progressive governance: Showcasing the achievements of His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State 2019 – 2023.”
Speaking about the book’s content, which spans 230 pages and 23 chapters, the former national chairman of the APC and the state’s first civilian governor praised the author for his efforts to document the governor’s accomplishments since his election.

Adamu asked the people of the state to keep praying and supporting the governor and his cabinet members so that they can bring democracy’s benefits to the people, even if he acknowledged that the current governor had built on the accomplishments of his predecessors.
“I am not only retired, but I have left politics,” he declared. I’m starting to get mild allergies to political speeches and events these days.

For him to be able to succeed, he needs all of your well wishes and prayers. I would thus release 20 copies of the book for one million naira in order to support the author for his excellent job.
Aliyu Wadada, the senator from the Nasarawa West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, praised the governor for drawing businesses to the state, including Dangote, Flour Mill, and Asma Rice.
In his speech, State Governor Abdullahi Sule thanked the author for acknowledging his efforts to develop the state and make it attractive to investors. He also disclosed that the government had completed plans to build 15 kilometers of roads in each of the state’s 13 Local Government Areas and that the government had paid the Universal Basic Education Commission the equivalent funds for the year 2023, stating that over 140 schools would be built under the arrangement. In all, the companies the governor has drawn to the state would create jobs for thousands of people and increase the state’s revenue.
He thus pledged to start more initiatives that would directly impact people’s lives and to retrain and teach employees to function at their best.
The book’s author, Tanimu, has previously stated that the governor’s inclusive leadership style served as inspiration for him to create the book.
The physically challenged author claimed that the governor had accomplished a great deal, which inspired him to tour the state taking photos and interacting with the villages where the initiatives were highlighted.
