Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress, is unquestionably a voice that needs to be heard in Lagos, where she was raised and has been active in business. In a recent tweet that said, “Lagos belongs to Lagosians!,” the Jenifa Diary actress gave a statement that gives a clear definition of who Lagosians are. Who live in Lagos? Lagosians are those who live, work, or attend school in Lagos. They pay taxes and live in Lagos as a whole.

Nobody can claim to be the owner of land where other people are conducting business and have made large investments, thus it is obvious that her post has a political undertone. She is absolutely correct when she says that if you run a school or business in Lagos and pay taxes, the land is yours.
