Akuapem Poloo, a popular Ghanaian actress, has been remanded to prison after her appeal against her 90-day prison sentence was refused by a High Court in Accra, Ghana.

Remember that in April 2021, a mother of one was sentenced to 90 days (3 months) in prison for posing naked with her child in 2020. She was granted bail until the outcome of the appeal after thousands of netizens signed a petition urging her release and her attorneys filed an appeal.

In a recent development, the Criminal Division of the court, headed over by Justice Ruby Aryeetey, dismissed the actress’s appeal on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

While his mother serves her sentence at the Nsawam Prison, Justice Ruby Aryeetey ruled that Akuapem Poloo’s son be entrusted to any competent person in the family to care for him.

Moments after the court sitting, the actress penned an emotional note to her son on her Instagram page.

“SON I LOVE YOU AND GOD IS WITH YOU ALWAYS YOU KNOW BE GOOD TILL MUMMY COMES BACK GOD IS IN CONTROL ALWAYS”. She wrote.
