He told reporters in Enugu that while individuals in positions of power live lavish lives, the actions of succeeding governments have continued to impoverish and make life intolerable for the majority of Nigerians.

The fact that the majority of people have to put up with the worst effects of government policy is depressing. “In general, the result is that corruption has become the norm. Because their salaries are insufficient to purchase anything, security guards are on the road extorting drivers. In order to tip the scales in favor of anyone who is more charitable, those in the temple of justice are waiting to be persuaded.
Somewhere else, people are searching for something to steal so they may provide for their families.
Therefore, a government that is sensitive to the aspirations of its citizens can only reduce the rate of migration abroad by tackling poverty, providing incentives for citizens to stay in the nation, and guaranteeing that their take-home pay is sufficient.
Therefore, it goes beyond simply advising them not to leave Nigeria and taking no action at all. People will continue to look for better possibilities due to hunger and poverty, and Nigeria is no different.
“We came together because we knew that the system has not been fair to us. We realized that it is our responsibility to let the world know that we are not being fairly treated. It is not a struggle for selfish reasons because all those things we are crying about are still with us,” Nwolisa said, addressing the agitation for the realization of the Biafra republic. He also emphasized that the agitation is being misplaced by those who do not understand it.
