“As a sincere democrat and progressive, I urge my rival and his backers to work with me in the fight to advance our beloved state,

The release reported the governor as saying, “People in Kano need leaders with vision, passion, zeal, and commitment to initiate projects, policies, and programs that have a direct bearing on their lives in all facets and across nooks and crannies of the state.”

He praised the state’s citizens for their unwavering support, perseverance, prayers, bravery, and sacrifices in defending the dignity of the judiciary, as well as the judges of the Supreme Court for their upholding of it.

Additionally, he expressed gratitude to all NNPP leaders, especially Sen. Rabi’u Kwankwaso, the head of the Kwankwasiyya movement, for his leadership and assistance throughout the difficult time.

The governor expressed his satisfaction that, in spite of pressure from “disgruntled quarters,” President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shattima did not intervene in the ruling of the supreme court.
