Abdul Imoyo, Head of Media Relations at Access Bank Plc, passed away from an unidentified illness.
Friends and well-wishers have been lamenting Imoyo’s passing on Facebook and other social media platforms, and word of his passing began to spread on Sunday.
Access Bank has not yet released a comment regarding Imoyo’s passing, but on Sunday, individuals close to him verified his passing.

The deceased had been employed by Access Bank since August 2014, based on his LinkedIn profile.
Prior to joining Access Bank, he had also worked for the United Bank for Africa (UBA) in the public relations division.
From May 2004 to July2010, Imoyo served as BusinessDay’s Finance Editor.
The deceased studied from 1998 to 2002 at Lagos State University (LASU), where he earned a B.Sc. in public administration. He then continued his education at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), where he earned an MBA.
