The Nigerian armed forces are still among the greatest in the world, according to Speaker of the House of Representatives Abbas Tajudeen, who also praised them for their bravery, patriotism, and contributions to the country.
Abbas, the representative for Kaduna State’s Zaria Federal Constituency, made this declaration in a special statement on Monday in observance of Armed Forces Remembrance Day, which is a day set aside to honor and grieve for Nigeria’s fallen heroes.
Abbas pointed out that the country would not have been able to experience success if the nation was not safe and secure for businesses and other economic activities to develop in a statement issued by the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Speaker, Musa Krishi. This, he claimed, highlights the vital role of the armed forces in the general well-being of the nation.

“This country will not be safe and secure for us to live in and conduct business in without our gallant forces.” This demonstrates their significance to us as a people,” he remarked.
The Speaker acknowledged that there are still significant concerns about insecurity, but he gave the military forces credit for trying their hardest to make the nation safer for everyone.
However, he emphasized that the government should be in charge of protecting people and property, and he called on the military, security, and intelligence services to do more in this regard.
“We think they can do more, even if we appreciate the job they’ve done. Everyone must feel protected in Nigeria,” he continued.
The Speaker expressed her condolences for security agents who lost their lives while performing their duties, characterizing their demise as valiant efforts to ensure the safety of the Nigerian populace.
Abbas also praised President Bola Tinubu for “clearing backlogs of unpaid salaries and allowances to serve and retired servicemen” and “significantly boosting the morale of servicemen by rejigging the security architecture, compensating the families of fallen heroes.”
