During his visit to Ahoada East Local Government Area on Wednesday, Tunji Disu, the newly appointed Commissioner of Police for Rivers State, made a commitment to apprehend Gift Okpara, the sought gang leader who is suspected of murdering Divisional Police Officer Bako Angbanshim.
As a result, CP Disu ordered the command’s officers to go tough and make sure that Okpara, also known as 2-Baba, and other cult members who were causing havoc in the region were found and brought to justice.

He also urged the police to help him succeed by apprehending the offenders, claiming that no one would murder a police officer and escape punishment.
CP Disu, however, cautioned the cops to exercise caution in order to prevent harm and death.
Along with his officers, the Rivers police chief also paid a visit to the Odieremenyi village, the scene of last Sunday’s five native deaths, to offer condolences and evaluate the security situation.
In the meanwhile, Disu stated that the command under his direction will make every effort to establish a long-lasting peace in the region during a conversation with Ben Eke, the Chairman of Ahoada East Local Government.
