Obi Cubana, a well-known Nigerian socialite, has reacted to Davido’s choice to donate all of his N201,000 million birthday donations to charity, including a personal payment of N50 million.
Davido announced in a statement released just a few hours ago that he will donate the N251 million he received as a birthday gift from friends and acquaintances to various charity organizations across Nigeria.
He went on to say that his objective is to conduct the fundraising every year to commemorate his birthday and give back to those in need, and that he hopes that his friends, fans, and business colleagues, as well as the general public, will rally behind him as he leads the cause.

In response, Obi Cubana described Davido as a king who would always be a king in a message uploaded on his Instagram page, reiterating the singer’s famous slogan, “We climb by lifting others.”
Obi Cubana noted that it is not about how much money a person has, but rather having the mentality to help people when and where they can.
He wrote: @davido donates 250m to orphanages! You see what we are talking about? A king will always be a king! We all rise by lifting others!
