The midfielder is back in England and will return to Leicester before the Premier League resumes in only two weeks, according to the most recent Leicester City news.
James Maddison practices in Al Wakrah, Qatar, England’s World Cup base.
Gareth Southgate, the manager of England, has written a letter to the team’s members, including Maddison, who didn’t play a lot during the World Cup.
Due to his accomplishments in the Premier League over the previous 18 months, the midfielder for Leicester City was a late addition to the 26-man team for the tournament in Qatar. Maddison missed the first two games due to an injury, but he was back in the lineup for the final three games after getting healthy.

The City player missed all three matches against Wales, Senegal, and France despite being fully healthy and available. It means that, much to the chagrin of City fans who were watching from home, he was unable to add to his one national team cap.
After England lost 2-1 to France on Saturday, eliminating them from the tournament, Southgate sat down for an interview before leaving for home. Then he emphasized the beneficial effects of team members like Maddison.
He told England’s official channel, “The group of players who haven’t necessarily started many games have been absolutely phenomenal.”
“I believe sometimes people assume that we just discuss it and try to make people happy, but it’s the reality of what we have here,” the speaker said.
“That has a lot of cultural significance. What creates a team, and what makes a team in a tournament, are the training sessions the day after games, the support in the locker room, and the support from the bench.
“Of course, the players have done a great job, but for those individuals personally, it’s been difficult because they are huge players and are accustomed to playing every week for their teams. Nevertheless, they should be really proud of the sacrifices they have made.
Although it wouldn’t have been the tournament that each of them had desired, they would have developed as humans by accomplishing that.
Maddison stressed the significance of positivism in the camp, despite the lack of playing time, in his remarks prior to the match against France.
Although I haven’t played yet, he told the BBC, “if I start whining and complaining and acting badly around the camp, it feeds into the mentality of the team.” Nobody wants to see that guy when they look in the mirror. A bigger picture exists.
“I wanted to be on the team so badly that I’m not depressed about not having played yet. Being here is a delight.
