Teammates Richarlison and Heung-min from Tottenham Son faced off against each other Friday night in the World Cup knockout rounds, but Richarlison’s tweet following the match shows the two are still close friends despite Brazil eliminating South Korea from the competition.
Brazil easily trounced South Korea 4-1 on Monday night to advance to the 2022 World Cup quarterfinals, and the South American team put on a strong performance all around.
Within 30 minutes, goals from Vinicius Junior, a Neymar penalty, and Richarlison himself put the Samba team in command. Before halftime, a goal from Lucas Paqueta of West Ham all but sealed the victory.

Even though South Korea did score a goal in the second half, they were simply outmatched by a stronger opponent.
With three goals already under his belt, Richarlison is in strong contention to take home the Golden Boot in Qatar (Telegraph), especially if Brazil makes it all the way as many predict.
Heung-min Son, 30, is heartbroken, though, since South Korea has now been eliminated from the competition, and he now turns his attention to the remainder of the season with Spurs.
Richarlison expressed his sorrow to his club teammate in a heartfelt social media post after the game and included a picture of him and Son kissing on the field.
