Brazil is the first nation to deploy as many as 26 players in a single World Cup after just four games of the 2022 edition of the international competition (according to theanalyst). Coach Tite did this, but how?

Eleven additional Brazilian team players participated in three contests. Vinicius Junior is the most expensive player in this group. The champion of the 2021/22 UCL, who Transfermarkt values at €120.00m, started one game and came in as a substitute in the other two.

Alisson Ramses Becker, a.k.a. Allison, started three games as the starting goalkeeper but was replaced 10 minutes before the end of regulation in the Round of 16 match against South Korea. Four minutes earlier, he had given up his first goal in the current championship game. In the game, he was replaced by third-choice Weverton.
Only two of Brazil’s four World Cup 2022 games so far have included seven more players. Dani Alves, one of the two right backs who have played for the Samba Boys in this edition, is the oldest of these at 39 years old.
The defender only took the field for one full game—a contest he led his team in against Cameroon—and was replaced for the other.
