He’s had a rocky start to life at Stamford Bridge, and a managerial change hasn’t been kind to him. This season, Koulibaly has made 11 appearances for the west Londoners while maintaining six clean sheets. His contract with the club expires in 2026.

For the last Champions League group-stage match, the Senegal international is now anticipated to rejoin the Chelsea squad. Graham Potter’s team has already secured a spot in the round of 16, but the 47-year-old will be eager to get back to winning ways and take first place in the group after the weekend defeat to Brighton.

Before Chelsea’s visit to the Amex Stadium, Potter was asked by the media how soon Koulibaly will be able to play. “Koulibaly, game came too soon, outside chance for Wednesday but not for tomorrow,” the Blues manager remarked.

The center-half discussed his difficulties adjusting to English football in a speech last month. Koulibaly stated that his main priorities are to put in a lot of effort and make sure Chelsea wins no matter what.

He remarked, “I anticipated this. “Moving eight years of my life to come to London is difficult. Everything is difficult since I have joined a prestigious organization—one of the top clubs in the world.

But we’re all required to work. My moment, I believe, will come. I am simple and am aware that it is a common process. My time will come, therefore I must continue working and being passionate about what I do.

I just want Chelsea to win the games as we did at the weekend; I’m not concerned about anything else. We did a lot of good this past weekend, and I’m incredibly proud of the squad and everyone since we have a strong sense of camaraderie and switching managers is challenging. But as you can see, this team is improving, and I’m hoping that tomorrow we’ll put on a strong performance to prevail.
