After the game, Ten Hag praised Rashford’s efforts, noting that he had already surpassed his goal total from the entire previous campaign. The United boss said, “He’s already [an exceptional player]. If you reach 100 goals for Manchester United before to turning 25. But winning trophies with your team is what matters, and I believe he can still grow.
“Two headers [in back-to-back games]: we worked really hard on that, we needed to get better, and you see what’s happening. He is a great player already, but he still has room for development. He is much more reliable and resilient. Who knows how it will finish [his career], but I am confident it will be fantastic.
