Deontay Wilder brutally eliminates Robert Helenius with a tremendous right hook
Deontay Wilder didn’t need much time to start winning again.
At the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday night, Robert Helenius was quickly dispatched by Wilder, who used a vicious right hand to finish the Finnish boxer in the first round.
While Helenius followed Wilder around the ring, Wilder took his time getting into the fight and moved around on the outside. However, stalking Wilder turned out to be a horrible decision.
As the round came to a close, Helenius maneuvered Wilder into a corner and attempted to capitalize, but Wilder fired a short right hand that caught Helenius clean and knocked him out cold. He remained unconscious for a number of minutes before eventually leaving the ring on his own.

It was Wilder’s first victory in nearly three years after “The Bronze Bomber” lost two fights to Tyson Fury in 2020 and 2021. The victory improved Wilder’s career record to 43-2-1.
Following the bout, Wilder urged everyone to be more loving toward one another before joking that he should challenge Oleksandr Usyk or Andy Ruiz as his next opponents.
