As soon as the second period began, the Catalans resumed their attacks, but Inter had drastically changed after the break.

Within the first five minutes of the second half, Nicolo Barella drew Inter back into the contest. After an hour had passed, Lautaro Martinez stunned Barca by making it 2-1.

After Martinez’s goal, Barca launched a full-court press after realizing their chances of winning the Champions League were in jeopardy. Although Inter was able to thwart the majority of Barca’s efforts, Robert Lewandowski was able to score in the 82nd minute.

Barcelona made an effort to finish their comeback, but another brilliant play from Martinez almost cost the visitors the game.

The Argentine great assisted Robin Gosens, who made it 3-2 in the 89th minute, following a fast move from the right side.

Barca resorted to crossing from every direction, which put Inter’s defense under a great deal of stress. Lewandowski was then brought in by an inch-perfect ball from Eric Garcia, and he soared over the Inter defense to save Barca from relegation.

Kristjan Asllani’s opportunity to give Inter the lead back in the final minute was ideal. However, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen was able to block the badly executed shot from the Inter striker.

Inter maintains their second-place ranking in Group C with seven points after the draw. With four points, Barca is in second place behind the Nerazzurri and is looking to improve by defeating Viktoria Plzen and Bayern Munich in their final group-stage matches.
