Dr. Patience, Mercy Aigbe’s older sister and a Nollywood actress, burned down her mother’s home.
Dr. Patience claims that their mother is a witch and has used her witchcraft against her to benefit her other well-liked daughter, Mercy.
She further claimed that the elderly woman refused to assist her in repaying a N800,000 loan that she had taken out and had to repay.

According to Glam and Essence magazine, Dr. Pat allegedly set fire to the home at Adebayo Mokuolu Street, across from Anthony Village Recreation Center in Lagos, severely damaging it because nothing could be saved.
The house, according to the locals, belonged to their mother’s late husband, a son, with whom the elderly woman had just one child.
She was residing in the mini-duplicate that his father had given to her son, who happened to be Dr. Pat’s half-brother.
The structure is separate from the main structure, which is in front and has additional apartments.
Fortunately, the fire did not spread to the other apartments that belonged to the deceased man’s other children from his previous marriage.
Dr. Pat reported herself to the police after destroying the structure.
Their mother was reportedly with Mercy when she started burning down the house. Mercy later arrived at the residence in a black SUV to evaluate the property’s damage.
Before setting the house ablaze, Dr Pat was heard shouting that she is the one that will kill their mother, confirming people’s suspicion that she had planned to burn the old woman in the house if she was in the house that morning.
She has reportedly been displaying signs of mental instability for some time, according to locals, who say that her mother is the one holding her back.
If they don’t take action against Dr. Pat right away, the children of the deceased man to whom the old woman was married are now concerned that she would return and damage their father’s property even more.
Currently, Mercy’s mother has no place to return to because the house was completely demolished.
On Friday, September 30, neighbors had been awakened earlier by the commotion and shouts of Dr. Pat, who had gone on the rampage and wrecked her mother’s automobile.
Her mum who is battling arthritis remained indoors while her angry daughter called her names as she destroyed her car.
The older woman later came out after her daughter left, to assess the damage she did to her car’s windscreen, wipers, front and back lights.
It was with shock that many watched the obviously angry lady abuse her mother and shout destiny stealer at her as she destroyed the car.
This perhaps explains why she wasn’t in the house when Dr Pat returned to set the house ablaze as she had left the house to Mercy’s fearing her life is in danger.
Those in the know said Dr Pat and Mercy are actually half-sisters, who share the same mother but different fathers, as their mother had children for several men.
