Superstar musician Wizkid was reminded of his commitment to constructing schools around Africa by Nigerian Twitter influencer Daniel Regha.
The Grammy-winning rapper promised in 2018 to utilize the money from a Nike collaboration to fund the construction of schools across all of Africa.
On the microblogging platform Twitter, Wizkid made the news and asked his followers to help him choose which nation to launch in.

Superstar musician Wizkid has been chastised by Nigerian Twitter influencer Daniel Regha for breaking his vow to build schools across Africa.
The Grammy-winning rapper had promised in 2018 to build schools in every African nation with the money he received from a collaboration with Nike.
Wizkid made the disclosure on microblogging site, Twitter and asked fans to help him pick which country to start from.
He wrote; “Using my own profits from this business partnership with Nike to build a school back home in Lagos. #Educationforeverychild.
“I’ll need help from fans to pick where we start this. Trying to build a school in every country in Africa. That’s my dream. Surulere, Lagos, Ghana and Benin Republic”.
Regha brought up his claim in 2022 and reminded him that he had not yet constructed even a single school in any African nation.
He pointed out that four years had passed with nothing taking place and then suggested that he build three schools first, beginning in his old neighborhood of Surulere.
The social commentator posted on Twitter, saying that Wizkid should keep in mind that he hasn’t yet used the money from his partnership with Nike to build “a school in every country in Africa” as promised. It’s been four years, but nothing has been done. Even if he only builds 3 schools beginning in Surulere, he should keep his promise.
