The 31-year-old is tied for ninth place all-time with Liverpool star Steven Gerrard with 92 Premier League assists under his belt.
If De Bruyne assists one of his Man City colleagues in this weekend’s Manchester derby, he will pass Gerrard, who has somehow amassed the same number of goals in 287 fewer games.

A single assist would also put him one behind former Arsenal hero Dennis Bergkamp (94) in fifth position and level with Citizens icon David Silva (93) in sixth place on the all-time assists record.
At some point this season, De Bruyne should have no trouble passing all three of them, and he will soon set his sights on being just the fifth player in Premier League history to accumulate 100 assists in the league.
With an astounding 162 assists during his trophy-filled 24-year career at Manchester United, Ryan Giggs presently holds the top spot on the all-time assist statistics.
With 111 assists, Cesc Fabregas is in second position, followed by Wayne Rooney (103) and Frank Lampard (102).
De Bruyne will aim to break the record for the most Premier League assists in a single season if he stays healthy for the bulk of this campaign.
