Since being hired, Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has had the desire to guide the team to AFCON 2023 victory, and he has now reiterated that desire.
The Portuguese has repeated his enormous AFCON desire, stating that his purpose is to conquer Africa and that the Super Eagles must play good sides and keep up with them within the available international window in order to accomplish that goal.
He expressed confidence in his group and claimed that the Nigerian team had many talented players. In light of rumors that he had a disagreement with Peseiro, the former Venezuelan national team coach went on to explain why Wilfred Ndidi quit the Super Eagles camp.

“I repeat, I want to win the next AFCON, and to do so, we need to enhance our national team, our dynamics, and our on- and off-field organization.
Our objective is to “establish connection with the players, create a relationship with them off the field that will help them construct a strong national team.”
Because his team is talented and has been observing a lot of Nigerian players, Peseiro claimed that understanding the players will allow him to control Africa.
“We have a lot of good players, therefore I think we can succeed with our national team. Because I know the players, I said I want to win the AFCON.
“My staff and I continue to follow several international matches in regards to the play of the players, and as I mentioned, anyone may join the national squad,”
The Super Eagles and Algeria’s CHAN team play to a 2-2 draw.
In order to prepare for their match against the Desert Foxes on Tuesday, Jose Peseiro’s team drew 2-2 with Algeria’s team B on Friday night.
Prior to other commitments, the gaffer used the opportunity to try a few squad fringe players.
