The Athletic reports that Xavi Hernandez is almost ready to use the services of the defender after Barcelona’s recent departures resulted in a sizable reduction in the club’s pay expenditure.

The club has already released some finances with the loan of Samuel Umtiti to Serie A team Lecce, and it appears that Pablo Torre will also serve a loan assignment.

With those agreements and the modifications made to other parties’ contracts, Kounde is just about ready to be registered.

Last weekend’s 4-1 triumph over Real Sociedad was missed by Kounde, and Xavi acknowledged his disappointment despite the team’s victory.

After the victory over Real Sociedad, Xavi commented, “It worries me not to have Kounde.

It was initially believed that Memphis Depay and/or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would be sold by Barcelona in order for Kounde to be registered.

Jules Kounde, a defender for Barcelona, has not yet been registered, but numerous reports from Spain on Friday indicate that La Liga would finally give Barca the go-ahead to do so because the Catalans may no longer need to sell.

Kounde is now anticipated to play for Barcelona against Real Valladolid in their upcoming match, and he will make his Camp Nou debut this Sunday, August 28.

Due to ongoing negotiations with Chelsea, who are interested in signing the Gabonese striker this summer, Barcelona may still try to sell Aubameyang and sign further players before the transfer window shuts.

This summer, Barcelona has been linked to the departures of Aubameyang and Memphis Depay.
It is also believed that the Catalans will need at least one full-back this summer.

Memphis Depay’s future is still unknown in the meantime after a potential transfer to Juventus fell through this week.

It is believed that if Aubameyang does return to the Premier League, the Dutch forward might stay at Camp Nou.
