With a 3-1 victory over Canada, Nigeria’s Falconets have finished their Group C campaign at the 2017 U-20 Women’s World Cup.

At the Estadio Alajuela Morera Soto on Thursday, August 18, the Falconets successfully completed their group stage campaign.

The Falconets recorded their best victory in the competition in Costa Rica with to two goals from the penalty spot from Esther Onyenezide and one goal in the second half from Chioma Olise.

They were able to accomplish this feat and earn nine points in Group C.

The quarterfinal matchup between the Falconets and The Netherlands will now take place at Alajuela on Monday, August 22.
