Mercy Aigbe’s post is undoubtedly linked to recent events in Nigeria, such as the increase in the exchange rate of the dollar to the cost of life.
She wrote: The land is supposed to be green but as it is I don’t understand anymore jare. Btw I think I look like Nicki Minaj in the first slide.
Happy new month my lovelies, May this new month give us double joy, double elevation, double blessings, double of everything we wish for in Jesus Name.
Mercy Aigbe threw a subtle shade at former minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode following his defection from the People’s Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressive Congress party.
This follows the several reactions that greeted the recent move of Fani-Kayode, especially with his consistent criticisms of Buhari’s administration and also sworn never to join the party.
Also reacting, Mercy Aigbe, in a post shared on her Instagram page, said big grammar isn’t a measure for intelligence, adding that some of the country’s so-called politicians need to take several seats.
Mercy Aigbe also likened the recent move of Femi Fani-Kayode as the irresponsibility of the highest order.
Although Mercy Aigbe didn’t mention Fani Kayode in her post, many social media users claimed she was indirectly throwing shade at the politician.
