Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, better known as Simi, a prominent Nigerian singer, has announced the title of her fourth studio album.
The Nigerian female singer, who rose to prominence in 2014 following the release of her award-winning hit “Tiff,” remains one of the top female artists in Nigeria and Africa.
After the release of her first studio album Ogaju in 2008, second studio album Simisola in 2017, and her third studio album Omo Charlie champagne, Vol 1 in 2019, the 33 year old singer has successfully established herself as a strong force in the Nigerian music industry.

Taking to her social media page on the 26th of March, Simi announced the successful completion of her fourth studio album titled “To Be Honest.”
However, Simi didn’t reveal the date of release of the album, she however gave hints as to what to expect in the album.
According to her, the project is a very candid album with only one love song in it, as none of the songs has ever been released yet.
Speaking on how long it took to record the album, she said,
“I have been writing this album for like two years. Many songs don collect stray bullet.”
“About a month ago, I told people to stop giving me feedback or opinions about the songs/album. They were getting in my head. I want to give you what I want you to hear, not what other people think you should here,” Simi revealed.
The talented female singer while replying to a social media user, gave a detailed explanation of the impact of music lovers to the Nigerian music industry.
“An art belongs to the artist. Whatever kind of art. However, it is the audience that decides what art they like and support. Nobody can force you to tune in to something you don’t like. But you can’t force someone to make something they don’t want to.
“It is hard in Naija cos the industry very here is a little tight. All the stations play the same kinds of songs. All the artistes are lumped under Afrobeats. It has to be a certain tempo and vibe. So everyday we edit ourselves a little more because it’s necessary for this market.”
