The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, September 19, 2021, in the Kwata sector of the town, according to Gossipinfo.

According to an eyewitness, the enraged youngsters, who were armed with deadly weapons, launched an operation on Sunday to “show me Tarok speaking natives’ houses.”

According to him, the mob shoots at random to frighten locals away before torching their homes and other property.

According to the eyewitness, the alarming incident was initially reported to the DPO of Bukuru Police Station, but no immediate security response was provided.

In a phone interview with journalists in Jos on Monday morning, former Chairman of Wase LGA, Hon Jacob Dashe, verified the occurrence.

Six houses and many automobiles were reportedly smashed by the enraged Berom youngsters, according to him.

“Rather than treating us like aliens, the Berom should come out and notify us if they have anything against us settling on their land,” he stated.

“Only a few of us managed to escape the onslaught, but no one was killed or injured.”

He urged the appropriate authorities to act quickly to address the problem.
