Nonye Josephine Ezeanyaeche, a 102-year-old Nigerian woman, has announced her ambition to run for president in 2023.
During a courtesy visit to the executive team of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, Ezeanyaeche stated her intention. During her visit, she announced her willingness to run for President in 2023.

The centenarian, also known as “Mama Africa,” is the founder of the “Voice for Senior Citizens of Nigeria” organisation and hails from Aguata, Anambra state.
According to Caro Nwosu, the group’s president, Ezeanyaeche was cited as stating by Sahara Reporters.
“If Nigerians are hesitant to participate in politics, she says she is willing to run.” She’s already written herself a manifesto. She is a visionary. If the good ones don’t show up for the competition…”
“If you have a male or female child, strive to train them to surpass your own achievements,” Ezeanyaeche stated in Igbo, acknowledging Nwosu’s statement.
