Prof. Isa Pantami, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, responded by blaming the breakdown on pressure and job load.

He urged Nigerians to pray for Bawa, who has regained consciousness, and urged them to do so.

Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, the EFCC’s Head of Media and Pubicity, said Bawa is OK just minutes after he was transported to the statehouse facility.

“The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, is in good health,” he said.

“This clarification is important following an event today, September 16, 2021, in the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he felt poorly and had to return to his seat while giving a goodwill message to the National Identity Day celebration. “He has now received medical treatment and is expected to return to his desk”
