Kemi Afolabi shared on her Instagram page that she has been experiencing significant levels of bad insecurity, which has become the standard in Nigeria.
According to Kemi Afolabi, armed robbers accosted her and her driver in traffic as they were coming from a movie shoot.
They left her whole body with wounds and skin in anguish, according to Kemi Afolabi, due to the impact of shattered glass and the usage of a cutlass on her body.
I’m in a state of shock! she wrote. Traumatized!! Since yesterday, I haven’t been able to close my eyes to sleep.
I also witnessed Nigeria’s deteriorating security situation, which has become the norm. Even when death is involved, no matter how much we shout and weep, it always falls on deaf ears of those who govern us.
They broke my windscreens, left my whole body with wounds and skin in pain because of the impact of the shattered glass which was forcefully broken while I was in the car, my arm was cut with a cutlass, they took my phones and belongings and ran off! Unfortunately, my driver was also wounded in the head.
Still, I’m grateful because things could be a lot worse! This, however, pales in comparison to what I’ve been through recently.
Whatever life throws at me, I will always be grateful to God for preserving my life. PS: I’m typing this message on my daughter’s phone. You will understand why you are unable to contact me at this time. IT’S ALL RIGHT.
It was recalled that Kemi Afolabi, who fought an unexplained illness in early 2021, signed her will and reserved a space for her funeral, but God proved His faithfulness in her life.
According to Kemi Afolabi, she had a Covid-19 test every 48 hours because she was short of breath and was on oxygen for a month, but no diagnosis was made.
Kemi Afolabi added that she sold all her properties after spending all her savings because she knew that bringing her condition to the public eye or begging for funds would kill her faster.
