Iya Rainbow was born in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, on October 16, 1942. She is the daughter of Mrs. Ifemade and prophet Jacob Ifemade. Many people are unaware, however, that Iya Rainbow worked as a registered nurse for 20 years before joining her late husband’s theatre company.
