Former Watford striker Troy Deeney has warned Marcus Rashford that he risks ending his career early if he doesn’t get his focus and enjoyment back in the game.
Rashford, 27, has struggled to meet expectations in recent seasons, failing to find consistent form under various managers. This season, the England forward has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 24 appearances across all competitions for Manchester United.
The arrival of new manager Ruben Amorim has sparked further questions about Rashford’s future at Old Trafford, with the forward’s role in the team now under increased scrutiny.

Deeney, speaking on talkSPORT, emphasized that Rashford, now in his prime, needs to put in the hard work and rediscover his love for the game.
“He’s 27 years old; he’s supposed to be at the peak of his powers. All his finances are taken care of. All he needs to do is work hard and enjoy his football,” Deeney said.
“Because if not, unfortunately, in two years, he’ll be out of the game. And I know that’s a strong statement, but where does he go from here? What’s next for him?”
“I genuinely want to help him. Most of the players who struggle are the ones who fade away,” he added.
