Viktor Gyokeres has expressed uncertainty about his future amid rumors linking him to Manchester United alongside Ruben Amorim, who will take over as head coach on November 11 after Erik ten Hag’s dismissal.

Gyokeres has been a standout performer in Europe, notably scoring four goals in Sporting CP’s 5-1 victory over Estrela, which helped maintain their perfect start to the 2024/25 league season. Having a strong relationship with Amorim, who signed him from Coventry City, Gyokeres remained noncommittal when asked about a potential move to Old Trafford.

He acknowledged the unusual circumstances surrounding Amorim’s departure but emphasized the team’s professionalism in adapting to the situation. “We’re sad to see him go; he has been fantastic for us, but we need to keep doing our jobs and give our best. We wish him well.”

As for Manchester United’s attacking lineup, they currently feature Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, the latter facing speculation about a loan move after struggling to find his form since his £34m transfer from Bologna.

Gyokeres has been prolific this season, netting 20 goals across all competitions, including 16 in the Primeira Liga, bringing his total to 63 goals in 66 appearances for Sporting since joining in July 2023.
