Liverpool manager Arne Slot praised Curtis Jones for effectively ‘controlling’ Chelsea’s Cole Palmer during their Premier League clash on Sunday.
Jones scored the decisive goal as Liverpool secured a 2-1 victory over Chelsea at Anfield, with Mohamed Salah and Nicholas Jackson also finding the net during the match.
In his post-match interview, Slot gave special recognition to Jones, emphasizing his success in keeping Palmer, who has been in great form this season, subdued.

“He was very good. A standout individual performance. The whole team worked incredibly hard,” Slot told Sky Sports.
“Curtis had a tough task controlling Cole Palmer, which is no easy feat given his quality.”
He added, “It’s a team effort, but Curtis was primarily responsible for that. He executed it really well and contributed some crucial moments.”
