IBF World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Dubois has declared his readiness to face former two-time champion Anthony Joshua once again in their highly anticipated rematch.
In an interview with BoxNation, Dubois confidently stated his intention to prove his dominance. “He’ll have a lot of demons to face. Who knows if people are pushing him into this? I don’t know. But from my side, I’m ready to show the world that I’m the king,” he said.
If the rematch with Joshua doesn’t materialize, the 27-year-old aims to avenge his loss to Oleksandr Usyk, should the Ukrainian defeat Tyson Fury in their December rematch.

“That’s unfinished business. I want to make it right, finish him, and it would be a great unification fight—massive,” Dubois added.
Joshua’s quest to reclaim the world title ended in a shocking loss to Dubois last month. In front of 98,000 fans at Wembley Stadium, Dubois dropped Joshua multiple times before landing a decisive right hand in Round 5, leading to Joshua’s fourth career loss. The defeat raised questions about Joshua’s future in the sport.
Despite the setback, Joshua quickly dispelled any retirement rumors, vowing to continue his boxing career. Promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed that the rematch will take place in the Middle East during the Riyadh Season, an entertainment and sports festival running from October to March.
According to Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, February is the tentative date for the rematch, as revealed after the Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol press conference.
Dubois last fought Usyk in August 2023, dropping the Ukrainian with what he believed was a legitimate body shot, though it was ruled a low blow. Usyk later won via a ninth-round stoppage. As for Joshua, he remains focused on getting back to the top, recently stating he “ruined a heavyweight with one punch.”
