Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim, who currently works under Viana, has been tipped as a potential successor. Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes recently praised Amorim, backing him for success in England. The Athletic adds that although Amorim may be favored by Viana, their existing relationship does not guarantee a reunion at the Etihad next season.
