Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has praised Rodri as a potential Ballon d’Or winner.

Guardiola made the comments following their 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Sunday, during which Rodri exited the game in the first half due to a knee injury sustained in a challenge with Thomas Partey.

“I don’t know; I haven’t spoken to the doctor,” Guardiola told reporters. “But Rodri is strong. He left the pitch because he felt something; otherwise, he would have stayed on. He’s the best holding midfielder in the world, and I would love for him to win the Ballon d’Or.”
