Interim assistant coach of the Super Eagles, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has praised Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi, and Moses Simon ahead of Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match against Rwanda on Tuesday.
Ilechukwu acknowledged the challenge Rwanda poses but expressed confidence in the team’s readiness. The Super Eagles enter the game on the back of a 3-0 victory over Benin Republic on Saturday.
“I’m very happy, and Nigerians are happy. We won with little preparation, and I feel like the happiest man on earth,” Ilechukwu said in a video posted on the X handle of Official54fx.

“We will give our best. The boys are ready, and we’ve prepared well. It’s going to be a tough game, but we will do our best.”
He added, “With players like Osimhen, Moses, and Ndidi, everyone is ready. We saw what Moses did, Ndidi’s control in the midfield, and we have a solid bench as well.”
