Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has discussed the key issue affecting the club’s £89 million signing, Mykhailo Mudryk.
Since joining Chelsea in 2023, Mudryk has faced difficulties. After Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Servette in the UEFA Conference League play-off on Thursday, Maresca highlighted that Mudryk’s main challenge is making the right choices in the final third.
Maresca explained that the 23-year-old winger often makes mistakes due to decision-making rather than technical ability. He emphasized that the club will work to help Mudryk improve this aspect of his game.

“Mudryk has shown moments of inconsistency since joining the club,” Maresca said. “If he can become more consistent, it will help him progress. We will work on improving his decision-making in the final third, as most of his errors are related to choices rather than technical skills. We hope to support him in making better decisions.”
